Race Day
Instructions
-
Bag Pick up/Registration begins at 0700. Review parking map below for authorized
parking spaces.
-
After arriving, participants will register at the
registration table and receive their T-shirt, race bib, and race bag. The bib
must be pinned to the shirt the child will be wearing for the bike and run, not
the swim portion.
-
Following registration, participants will stage their
bikes by age group (see map) and place their T-shirt, with bib attached,
on their bike. All participants are required to bring their own bike to the
race.
-
Once their bike has been staged, participants will
immediately move to the race staging area and line up in their respective age
groups and wait for the race to begin.
-
Opening remarks for the race will begin at 0800 and
the race will begin immediately after.
-
Sequence of events for the race will be swim, bike,
and run.
-
Parents will only be allowed in the pool area while
their child is conducting their heat, parents of children 6 and under are
encouraged to escort their child through the pool and bring any needed
floatation equipment.
-
Participants will ride on the street in the same
directions vehicle traffic flows. The
routes will be clearly marked with road guards along the route and signs for
turnaround points by age group. Participants will wear a helmet at all times
while riding a bike.
-
All participants must wear their bibs on the front of
their T-Shirt so that the route guides can keep them on the correct route.
-
All finishers will receive a finisher medal when they
cross the finish line after the run. Participants will retrieve their bikes
from the transition point (location briefed on race day) immediately following
race.
-
There will be an awards presentation immediately
following the event when all participants have completed the race.
-
Food and water will be provided.
